He married Elizabeth (Betty) Johnston. Elizabeth died April 7, 1990. Her body was interred April 1990.

Wiley Olin Petty Jr. and Elizabeth (Betty) Johnston had the following children:

+ 45 i. Wiley Olin⁵ Petty was born December 7, 1946.

+ 46 ii. Robert R. (Bob) Petty was born January 7, 1948.

47 iii. Deborah Petty was born January 26, 1955.⁽¹⁹⁾ She married Robert Price.

She resides January 1994.
